Botanical description	Fennel is a perennial plant that can reach 1.50 to 2.50 m in height. The yellow flowers are gathered in flat umbrellas of 7 to 10 cm.
Olfactory description	Its colorless to pale yellow essential oil, obtained by distillation of the seeds, gives off an aniseed, green and vegetal odor.
