I am part of the jury of a photo competition

The Council of Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment (CAUE) of Gard French department has been organizing for several years a photo competition open to all photography enthusiasts as well as primary and secondary school classes. The aim of this competition is to raise awareness among children and adults about the environment around them.

"Vivre la nature dans le Gard" is the title of the 2022 edition, in which I was happy to participate as a member of the jury to view all the photographs and designate the winners with the other members of the jury:

  • Philippe Vialard, representative of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC)
  • Jean-Louis Fulcrand, architect
  • Pascale Henry, representative of the Academic Inspection
  • Françoise Maurin, representative of the Academic Inspection
  • Myriam Raynaud-Bouhaddane, landscaper at CAUE 30.

On September 15, we all met at the CAUE headquarters to present the prizes to the winners.

The CAUE has published a booklet with all the award-winning photographs, which can be seen here. My personal favorite is the photograph by the student Camille Sodano entitled "The Moon and Olive Leaves". Simple, sober, graphic, I like it a lot!

The 2023 edition will focus on the arts, on artworks that live with us, in our immediate environment.

As part of this next edition, I am happy to participate as a speaker in a training day intended for teachers wishing to compete with their students. The adventure continues...
