Six scents for the Van Gogh Foundation in Arles

For several months, the mediation teams of the Van Gogh Foundation in Arles and I have been working on a program of olfactory activities around the exhibition " Laura Owens & Vincent Van Gogh " which is on display until October 31, 2021.

Recently, the foundation commissioned me to create six fragrances inspired by three of Vincent Van Gogh's paintings (Hôpital à Saint-Rémy · 1889, Champs clos avec laboureur · 1889, Les Pissenlits 1889), and three other details of the wallpaper created by the American artist Laura Owens.

The aim was to set up olfactory visits intended for all audiences (children, adults and unpaired).

So I worked at reproducing the smell of dandelions, of a field being plowed and of the garden of the hospital where Van Gogh stayed in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

If you want to smell them, run quickly to the Van Gogh Foundation in Arles to discover them.

And if you dream of learning how to create scents from your own photographs, book your seat in the adult workshop "Imaginaire parfumé" that I will teach next October at the Foundation.
